Sixth Annual Tour of Hinsdale and Burr Ridge Homes

The sixth Annual Hinsdale Center for the Arts (HCA) Holiday Home Tour will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2009 from 1:00-5:00 pm. Tickets are available in advance for $35 by calling HCA at 630-887-0203. Advance Tickets are also available at Adornments at 28 E. First St., Hinsdale, Hinsdale Center for the Arts in Katherine Legge Memorial Park (5903 S. County Line Rd.), Ashley's at 22 S. Prospect Ave, Clarendon Hills, Luv It in Gateway Square, Hinsdale, Fuller's Home and Hardware at 35 E. First St., in Hinsdale, Horton's at 60 S. LaGrange Rd., LaGrange, The Uptown Shop's two locations at 111 E. First St., Elmhurst and 921 Burlington, Western Springs, Linly Designs at 232 N. Cass, Westmont, Dream Interiors at 5122 Main, Downers Grove, and Swoozie's two locations at The Burr Ridge Center and 3041 Butterfield Road, Oak Brook. Day of tour tickets will be available for $40 at Adornments, 28 E. First St., Hinsdale.

Guests are invited for a holiday stroll through unique Hinsdale and Burr Ridge homes, all richly decorated for the holiday season, with lights aglow and music in the air. Children's choirs, local choral groups including The Hinsdale Chorale, as well as instrumental musicians from across west suburban Chicago will volunteer their talents to perform throughout the afternoon.

Proceeds from the Holiday Home Tour benefit the programs and outreach activities of Hinsdale Center for the Arts, the designated Regional Arts Center serving western Cook and DuPage counties.

The Homes

222 E. Eighth, Hinsdale "Distinctly Federal" -The traditional areas of the home stay true to the Federalist style, yet the airiness and warmth throughout truly make this a loving home.

Beth Waldo, Holiday Home Tour Chair, comments, "The Holiday Home Tour continues to be one of Hinsdale Center for the Arts' annual signature events. This year's tour will delight the senses. Imagine viewing an eclectic mix of the area's finest homes, each beautifully decorated for the season, all the while taking in the sounds of choirs and instrumentalists. We are looking forward to the tour this year.

The Embellishments
Interior specialists from home fashion and floral establishments across the western suburbs are donating their talents to create a sense of holiday magic unique to each home.

HCA's Annual Holiday Exhibition and Sale features original and one of a kind artwork created by more than 150 artists from Illinois and across the U.S. Come shop for jewelry, accessories, ornaments and home accents, all perfect for holiday gift-giving! Adornments will be open on December 6 from 10AM - 5 PM.
